Thanks---don't joke about that, someone might actually
manufacture such a gizmo.
The interest in Optigans is so great, I heard a rumor
that some Asian firm might make an imitation Optigan....
combine that with all the phony NOS tubes, the Moog
module knockoffs, the Apple I knockoff, and Phil
Weingarten's Audion fakes, and I wonder how long before
we see new slide rules and exact replicas of the Atari 2600...
(btw, the remains of Phil's tube parts, remember I pointed it out on
eBay? It sold to a major tube collector for $1525.
No vacuum pump, no degassing equipment, just parts.)
I know a guy who is trying to make new Nixie tubes.....
because, you see, there's all this interest among younger people
in making Nixie clocks....
We are going to relive the 1970s, over and over. Have you seen how
teen girls dress now? Bellbottoms and platform shoes....
please, don't bring back the Osmonds or the Bay City Rollers.....agggh
