[sdiy] Cleaning silver keyboard contacts

All,

Yesterday I cleaned the contacts on my Jen, which are of the silver-plated
bar and spring type.  Came up lovely with silver polishing cloths
(Duraglit and Goddards).  But, is this likely to lead to long-term
problems?  Is it worth giving them a coat of contact lubricant (e.g.
Servisol or WD40) to slow down subsequent corrosion??  Or is this more
likely to lead to problems with dust sticking to the surfaces??
