[sdiy] trace repair HELP

I've had to do this for a board that got stepped on. I used short pieces
of bare wire to reconnect the broken traces. I first removed the coating
on the board to expose the bare copper traces using emery paper. Then I
tinned the traces and finally soldered the wires across the gaps. After
that, some epoxy to stiffen the whole thing. The board looked like crap,
but it worked and it was hidden in a box anyway. You may have to use a
fine gauge of wire and depending on other mechanical factors you may need
to do something to stiffen the board after the repair, e.g., glue a piece
of plastic to it.
