Hah... I built a rhythm unit based on the Popular Electronics "Thumpa-Thumpa
Box"...
Bass drum and bongo (or wood block). It had a variable clock and three
programmable
UJT dividers. I added a UJT for the clock that was on steroids, it could go
WAY past
the normal tempo range.
Trouble with UJT dividers is they are not real stable... so everytime some
line disturbance
would hit... one or more drums might skip or stagger a beat, then continue
rolling on...
Just like a real drummer would do. It was excellent practice. We named it
"Stupid"
