[sdiy] TOG Substitute - CPLD

The Xilinx Cool Runner CPLDs are not expensive at all...I believe they
start at $5....and they are in circuit programmable (they use a JTAG port,
so you just need a special cable that only costs about $50 or so). The
problem is the parts are surface mount only :-( which makes them not very
freindly for SDIY....
There are also the Xilinx 9500 series, which are also fairly inexpensive
(see Digikey), in the $5->$10 range, and are also in circuit programmable .
And the software to write the code is free...
