I didn't do anything so exotic... just hacked the wrong connections in. When it
didn't
work, and got hot... I knew I was hosed !!! Those chips are NOT forgiving even
for
a minute.
I ended up making a fixed oscillator and using the divider chain anyway for my
calibrator...
I wanted to be able to synthesize any specific note... not I can do any specific
OCTAVE :^)

btw... BBDs are just about as unfriendly for supply voltage polarity... try it
and see !!!
