I knew of both Wendy and Kraftwerk before joining this list, but I have to
confess that I didn't learn of Delia until after I joined Synth-DIY. Then
again, I do live in the US and my exposure to an obscure British artist who
worked 40 years ago would naturally be limited. However, I'm amazed that
you actually know people interested in electronic music who don't know
about either Wendy or Kraftwerk. I would certainly have thought one of
those two name would have been recognized.

Have you considered the possibility that maybe you've been talking to the
"wrong" people? :)

In all fairness: I should admit that I have no idea whatsoever which
current musical artists are the most popular in another country or
continent, including the Australia and the UK which are supposed to share a
lot of the same culture as the US. I'm sure that people in those areas
might laugh at me for not knowing someone they might consider one of the
most famous artists in the world.

Hey, the world's a big place -- it's hard to keep track of all of it. :)

Glen Berry
