[sdiy] asm-1 questions

hi i wanted to build a asm-1 module, but i am new in this stuff so i wanted to ask you:
 
how many voices is it capable of reproducing??
 
do i have to build a circuit for each octave or note or something??
 
what does it have for input??¿midi?
 
is it necessary to feed it with 15v ac or dc?
 
can you give me a hand in building a controller for the asm-1??? where can i find info on that??
 
how long is it going to take to have it finished (approx)??
 
 
i am new to this so extra help would be greatly appreciated.
