[sdiy] Help!!! Roland JX-8P!!

Hi!
I've just bought a JX-8P... A little number of front panel buttons were working so I cleaned and replaced some of them, after that, the machine was working properly except the "edit" and "volume" sliders... But when I tried to replace the pots of "edit" and "volume" sliders with new ones, the machine didn't boot... It starts to count down from 12 to 0 when you switch it open but mine gets locked at 12 now... I replaced the new pots with the old ones, but the problem continues..
Is there anyone there who knows what could be the source of this problem??? I really liked the sounds of this synth and I want to save it, I need it..
