[sdiy] using a osilloscope

Hello, 
I was wondering if there is a tutorial on how to use an scoop with a synthesizer to test/calibrate it?
Since i'm little new i would like to experiment, for learning purposes, i have a hameg 203-6 scoop.

Anyone here also experience in tuning a jp-8 with a scoop?
