[sdiy] Juno-60 transformation/hacking

Has anyone on this list modified a Juno-60 to turn it into a more
functional synth. with various modules added to it? I've been giving
some thought to making some modifications to mine, although I don't
plan on modifying anything that pertains to the patches... basically,
the synth would operate in one of two modes at the flick of a switch:
original (would still permit the use of patches) and modified. In
modified mode, the synth would become more flexible, make use of patch
cords. and additional modules, etc. Doesn't seem like a mad enough
project yet though, so I've got to give some more thought to this...
to start, perhaps I should modify the Juno 60's output pre-amp
circuitry to use tubes to give it a warmer sound. Most likely I won't
make any mods to the Juno-60's chasis, although adding 1/4" jacks here
and there is quite tempting. :-)

Any thoughts on this?
