The LM13600 has output buffers that have a bias
from Gm pin to the darlington buffer. This will
allow improved operation at very small
transconductance
but might make a thump if the Gm bias current
changes suddenly.
The 13700 is fixed biasd for "middle of the range"
applications... so it won't thump due to changes in
Gm bias current (but might indeed thump for offset
voltage chnage with bias, anyway)
If you are not using the buffers there is no
difference.

TomG once reported that one of his EFM VCO designs
based
around the 13600 did not work correctly with the
13700..
that's the only case I've heard of
