Re: [sdiy] Sound samples for Obesifier Waveform Animator are upHi Peter!

Hey you! After reading the description on Paul's site, I was thinking
that there might be some sonic similarities to Scott's interpretation of
Bernie's original design, in that they can both output multiple detuned
odd-harmonic waveforms. I was only hoping to stimulate some addl.
discussion on this. I should have written my post better, I guess I need
more practice. :)

Oh yeah, Scott's work is excellent, and this module of his has a
*fantastic* sounding drone. Ever since I came across the MPWA in
Electronotes, I have been drooling over building this baby on breadboard.
But I am not quite at that level of ability yet. So I am building a
preamp/envelope follower first. I have a friend that makes electronic
cellos as a hobby, and I'm thinking, how cool would it be to control my
rig with THAT! (hmm..maybe a PV-1 in my future?)

PLEASE NOTE: I am *very* thankful for the opportunity to learn from those
of you on this list that make your work available for perusal!

Have a good one,
George

Scott,

You know, MOTM makes really great equipment - but mentioning it in the
context of this string about Scott handywork is off topic -and- THIS
ANIMATOR CIRCUIT YOU MADE IS SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!

Paul Schreiber at SynthTech is planning on a waveform-animator-like device
as well, well.. not exactly. Actually it's a group of 8 detuned VCOs on
steroids. It offers MUCH more than would be expected, in typical
synthtech fashion.
