[sdiy] Nord Lead 2 or an Access Virus?

You're looking at three VERY different synths. The Nord Lead 2 and 3 are
completely different beasts, whereas the Access Virus series is really just
like a synth growing up, it gets bigger, more powerful, but is essentially
the same thing.
In short the Access Virus is probably the most accurate and smooth of the
VAs out there (it's the only synth that has impressed me with its presets),
but the NL2 has that signature Nord sound you aren't going to get anywhere
else. The NL3 is a bit different but still has a very unique sound. That
uniqueness is a gift and a burden, it'll give you something different, but
it can also be cleanly picked out of a mix as a Nord Lead. Keep in mind the
Nords have no effects.
