Here's a quote from
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2525725909&category=38071
:

"The filter is a reverse-phase summing type so that it overdrives ever so
slightly, resulting in a fat, compressed low-end that literally sounds like
it's breathing"

This should explain everything.

p.s. ok just kidding, actually I have built the minimoog filter on
vectorboard straight from the minimoog schematics and it was quite
successful. Do you have the schematics? I think they're up on Synthfool...

Subject: [sdiy] Digging through the archives, minimoog vcf question

I've gone through a huge amount of messages about minimoog vcf schematics,
and it seems like most of the threads come to a dead end at some point.
Just a quick question (it's been asked before, but in the past couple
years).
Does anybody know of minimoog vcf clone schematics that just about as close
as possible to the original filter?
The "minifilt" looks good but i didn't see anybody who said they'd built it
successfully.
I would appreciate any response,
Steve
