hello. i'm new here and a bit of a newbie to the diy thing. the discussion of banana vs 1/4" (or 1/8") mentioned the benefits of normalization. i know this much about normalization: using a switched jack to disconnect the hardwired path and route it elsewhere. however i don't know too much after that. i am building an efm modular with 2vcos 1vcf, 2lfos, 2eg, 2vca, noise. what would be the most 'standard' way to route these modules in a normalized setting? i'm thinking something like the system 100 or ms-20. when making the normalized patch, is the switched jack at both the in and out or just the in?

these may be newbie questions, but i searched for an answer before posting and came up with nothing.

thanks!
