The thing that will most determine if it will run on batteries is the current draw. Regular transistor radio batteries don't have a whole lot of capacity. It has been a long time since I saw the circuit for the 2720 envelope
follower, but I would bet it will work just fine. The grounding question I will have to defer to somebody who actually has the schemeatic....
And I am glad you enjoyed yourself...I had fun too. I am still recovering from it :-)....Getting old sucks. I cannot recomend it. I wouldn't have missed the meet for the world.
