[sdiy] Eurodesk regulators?

Hi, Im a lurker here and Im fixing my Eurodesk power supply at the moment. Due to a power spike I seem to have zapped the regulator TL783 on
the 48Volt phantom power rail. All the other regulators were changed at some time in the past due to the tolerances being far too close on
this desk (normal 18volt power rails). It seems like many people have had this problem but replacement regulators fixed it. Question is...is
there a better replacement for the TL783 with a little more headroom?
