Now why can't I get this kind of response to my ON TOPIC
posts? ;-)=

Well, she belongs to my wife, who loves her dearly but
refuses to take her to the vet unless she shows obvious
signs of distress. I'm really a dog person myself, but love
all animals. But I'm not sure how much the vet would do in
this case anyways, induced vomiting is not good as they
could become lodged in her esophagus, and I'm not sure that
surgery at this point is required.

I don't have any way of blocking access to my work stuff,
so this is a problem, but she hasn't gotten herself into
trouble before. Anyways, the breadboard and associated
parts are upstairs in the living room, where it's more
comfortable to work. ON-TOPIC section: The drum synth is
coming along well, front panel #1 is painted, labelled, and
has 90% of the parts mounted. I have a nice new DIY drum
pad setup that I like. Just a bit more work on the trigger
input circuit and it's time to etch pcbs!

I have seen a few cats without that "sense", with severe
injury including major brain damage from chewing live power
cords.

I think the poor cat is just suffering from boredom. My
favorite cat game is to tie a bag of catnip or a toy to the
end of my fishing line and to go "catfishing". She just
loves this and it gets me in good shape for the fishing
season. But my wife isn't very mobile and cannot play much
with the cat, so when I go to work the cat suffers. Playing
with her with the laser pointer helps, but she seems to be
getting a bit too fanatical about that game. This morning
she abruptly woke us up by suddenly tearing across the head
of the bed, bruising my lip and scratching my hand. I think
she may have been chasing a light reflection on the wall.
Animals are so much fun ;-)=

Take care,
Doug
