[sdiy] Bench Equipment Recs?

I have a Fluke Scopemeter, but would like to get a cost
effective benchtop scope.
I'm also looking at waveform analyzers and generators,
and audio spectrum analyzers, and I'm wondering what
people think of PC-hosted software systems for these
tasks. Is there any software (or software + offboard
probe attachment and conversion box in the case of
oscopes) based system which is worthwhile, and if yes,
what kind of audio I/O device would you recommend
coupling the audio spectrum analysis and waveform
stuff with? (I have several in my studio, of differing
quality.)
Does anyone have an opinion about the Technical Projects
MJS401D "audio measuring system"?
Any specific recommendations for particular vendors, or
do most people just go try their luck on eBay?
Thanks.
