[sdiy] Re: List of useful DIY web resources (was: A book about analogue synthesizer circuits?)

This is what I was describing (I think) and it would be augmented by a reminder post to the
list at regular intervals (twice a month I think would be good). We have new people coming
on the list all the time and there's a large community of lurkers, all of whom would benefit
(as well as half-brain-deads like me) by knowing where this is.

Although I believe that the book idea is an excellent one, it is also a large project and
possibly one that only Sisyphus might appreciate. At the very least, I see it taking a long
time to put together. In the meantime, this approach would be a way to better take
advantage of all the fine documentation work which has already been done by so many here. I
have a feeling that there are already FAQs embedded in the SDIY sites we already have. If
it's done as a single (or limited to a small number of) HTML page, then any browser can be
used to search it's contents without the need of a search engine. The regular posting could
then be very short, including only the URLs of the sites that support the "table of
contents" and brief unsubscribe instructions. If we're talking about 200K or less data, I
would be happy to host a copy of it on my site.
