[sdiy] A book about analogue synthesizer circuits?

I'd recommend getting hold of an old copy of Hal Chamberlin's Musical
Applications of Microprocessors. It's no longer in print and was last
updated in the mid-80s, but there's a lot of basic and very useful
information about analogue synth circuits, and also details of the basics
of digital filters.

It doesn't go into the degree-level maths you need to know to design
filters and DSPs, so it's not a complete do-it-all guide. But it's an
excellent introduction to the subject, is quite fun to read too, and has
some interesting design ideas.

Amazon has a list of used copies starting from less than $30. (And one
person treating it as a collectible and asking for around $90!)
