How about a hybrid of sorts? Take something like this: http://www.comdyna.com/music.htm or this: http://www.comdyna.com/gp6intro.htm and place it under laptop control? Then again, I'd just rather stuff in patchcords and see what happens, which defeats the purpose of the laptop to start with. Hmmm.....
