Tony, You may be describing normal behavior on the JP6. As long as the
keyboard is selected to "whole" mode, there is never any need to defeat the
bender. The bender defeat is used to assign bender to one half of the
keyboard only when in either 4-2 or 2-4 split assignment. In whole mode,
the bender light cannot be switched off.

Subject: [sdiy] JP6 help
Hi all,
I'm completely stuck with what seems a small problem on a Jupiter 6. The
white bender button on the main panel, has a LED that is continually
lit. The function is always on, so pressing the switch has no effect
both on either the LED or actually switching the bender panel off.
OK, so it looks as its a bad switch. But no, the switch is OK. As is the
LED and the associated diode. [sometimes these diodes go leaky and stop
the matrix decoders from realising the switch has been pressed]. Presing
the switch does affect that particular matrix line, but the depress is
not being detected by the CPU board.
All other switches are operating fine. Has anyone seen this problem with
any of the soft switches on the JP6 before? Any help would be
appreciated.
Cheers,
Tony
