Subject: [AH] FS: 8 panels of Serge/STS Modular, MIDI/CV, cables, more
I am auctioning all 8 panels of my Serge Modular system, the power supply,
the patch cables, and a JLCooper MIDI->CV converter.
There is NO RESERVE on any of these auctions, and the minimum bid is only
$250 US on each panel. (That's less than a single VCO, in case you're
wondering.) I am not a music store or a dealer; I'm moving and I need the
money. Auctions end on Sunday (PST).
The auction pages contain lots of pictures and a full history, so I'll
stick to the basics here. The system was built in 1980 or 1981. It has
the white-face control panel but the new generation circuitry: almost all
of the modules are still available from STS. I purchased it in 1994 via
someone on this very mailing list. STS refurbished it in 1996 ($$$),
including new rack boxes, power supply and distribution, etc. Since then
it has lived in my smoke-free studio (or, occasionally, a friend's). It
hasn't seen much use.
Every module has been tested and works, with one exception: a single NTO
(clearly marked in the auction) is stuck at sub-audio frequencies. There
are two cracked input jacks on one of the panels, also clearly marked in
the auction (but the modules themselves work fine).
I am also selling a whole bunch of good-quality banana cables, and a
(tested and working) JLCooper "MidInterface I/O" MIDI->CV converter.
Here is the link to all of my auctions:

In case that doesn't work for you, here are some links to individual items.
Click "see seller's other auctions" to get to the rest.

The panel auctions end 6-10 minutes apart so you can decide to up your bid
or drop out based on whether you won the other panels. The cable and power
supply auctions end a couple hours after the panel auctions, so you can bid
based on how many panels you got.
I also have a whole bunch of vintage 1981 Serge/SMS product literature that
I'm not auctioning: is there an online archive for this stuff?
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for your patience!
