[sdiy] Modular Potentiometer Assemblies?

Some "metal body + plastic spindle" dual pots (see Megit 23 series or
Radiohm JP20C series) can be disassembled and reassembled to taste.
This works only with metal body models that use "bend lips" to close the
housings.

For example, 2 dual pots can be reassembled into one 3 triple pot and one
mono pot.
To assemble a 5 gang pot you would need to start with 4 dual pots, the
remaining parts form 3 mono pots.
It seems 5 or maybe 6 gangs is the maximum practical number.
