A suggestion: For 14 bucks, you buy a crimper and all this work can be
avoided!!! Tin the wire as usual, put the pin in the tool, insert the
tinned wire into the pin, push. Bang -->ZOOM.
a key though to all is to remember only the second (closest to terminal) end
of the pin wraps actually get the wire. the first one, furthest out to the
end of opposite end of the connector with the larger diameter, is designed
so that crimp goes around the unstripped casing of the wire. this is what
gives you the hold.
