[sdiy] Foot-stompin' music (idea wanted)

I remember seeing Chris Whitley play several years ago and he had a something like this.  He used to play with a kick frum in front of him...must've been pretty tiring so he got a mat like this.  You can try and hunt him down, wherever he is.
