I just found these nice cheap pots. They are nice if you have a project
where you can tolerate a 300K linear pot, or perhaps want to use an add-on
resistor to get a smaller value, simulated log taper:

Bournes part # 53AAAB28B40, 300K linear sealed conductive plastic, 50K
rotation life This is not a PCB mount, but has solder lugs for wire
connections instead. Metal 1/4" diameter shaft 7/8" inch long with metal
3/8" bushing 1/2" x 1/2 inch square body (i.e. all standard stuff)

These are begin sold at Goldmine Electronics for 4 for $1, 100 for $20, or
1000 for $180.

I just got a bag for 100 and they feel very nice (like all the $5 each
Bourns pots I have). No excuses for not doing that DIY sequencer now, huh?
:)
