Hi Mark..cheers mate! Well I used a special kind of perf-board..
for the 'potbaord' it was a physics- dept 'throw-out' ! Its like tripad 
veroboard but is double sided, large  and every hole is through 
plated..so wonderful stuff. 
Probably it was overkill for this project..but it helped keep the 
number of wires down. Probably wouldnt be so tricky to just mount the 
pots onto a piece of bare aluminium/unetched pcb and wire them up in the 
usual way.

I was very happy with the lazertran finish..this  stuff is really amazing!
I know quite a few synth people make panels by gluing paper artwork  
directly to their panels and clear-lacquer overspray. Using lazertran 
there is no need for the lacquer and the finish is bulletproof and 
can be gloss/satin/matt as you want it.
