Oh, no, that's not it at all.  It's because the construction workers
who use that tape often throw the roll across the room they are
building.   When they do, they yell "DUCK, TAPE!" so that anyone in
the way gets a "heads up".  Kinda like golf and "FORE!".  You can
imagine how much it would hurt to get hit in the head with a full
roll of that stuff, eh?

Yep, count on me to take it yet another step.
