I am just finishing building the whole 9700 package that includes
midi2cv8,vco,vca,vcf. This is a very dense package with very versatile
modules. A wonderful learning experience and a good bargain, I think. If you
can solder and follow instructions you can have a successful project. $450
is a good deal for a rather powerful synth. Lots of room to experiment. The
only components I am not too fond of are the potentiometers and the jacks,
but replacing those would drive the cost up considerably. I will probably
go with a different power supply at some point also, but overall, this is a
real good piece of gear and I would gladly do it all over again. If you
decide to do it, keep in touch and maybe we can exchange a bit of knowledge
on this thing. Good luck,

John Rose
