[sdiy] Polysix repair question

Hi List,

Someone is sending me a Polysix for repair.  He says that all voices seem
badly distorted when playing.  I'm guessing that since this occurs on all
voices that it will probably not be VCO, VCF or VCA problem.

Instead I plan to check powersupply, output section and effects section for
problems.  Does anyone have any other ideas of what to look for?  IIRC the
battery leakage usually damages the control circuitry, not audio... or am I
mistaken?  

Any insight on where else to look would be great.  Don't know if this is a
common fault or not.  I'll keep the list informed on my progress when it
finally shows up at my door.
