[sdiy] OT: Roto-phase converters

Knowing this list is full of several people with many years of varied
experience, I shall ask if anyone has any experience with roto-phase
converters.  I am well versed in most aspects of three phase power.  But, I
have never had any connection with one of these.  So far, all the web sites
give overly simplified "how it works" descriptions with lots of "where to
buy" information.  I'm still looking.  So, please contact me privately if
you know anything about how these connect and work.
