[sdiy] theremin discucion

hi all..
there are some questions ive always had about theremins. and i would like to share with you :)

The tube theremin are famous for been more sensitive that the trancistoriced ones ,rigth, what about the sound? is the tube theremin special? 

should we let this instrument for clara rockmore the crazy wife of mr theremin???

im sure that the sound of theremin , can be ezly reproduce from a synth... rigth , so why is it so special?
i loooked at the draws of mr moog, fdor the etherwave and you can see the vco vca etc and some of the modules you'll see in a basic  analog synth.... so.....

anyway i realy love the theremin , its a great instrument....
