Serge certainly seemed to like them. Use them for his circuits. The 
tripple waveshaper comes to mind. They were used a bit in the Buchla 208 
as well. I don't know why. I guess you can make a comparator with fewer 
resistors than with a regular op amp. just one to set the threshold.
