Reminds me of a funny (true) story.

I once went to a Moog demo to see Roger Powell. Roger, as you old
timers
know...was a poster boy for ARP. I heard some of his work on the ARP
demo 45 and heard he was going to be playing at this demo... He had (I
guess)
just jumped ship and started repping Moog instead.

... so I begged a friend with a car to drive us there... sixty miles
away. When we arrived we saw a very bored Roger, plugging the Moog gear
as though he couldn't
care less. (boy was I pissed).

He started showing a new Moog Sample and Hold accessory...showing how it
could
do random vco modulation

boop... beep.... boop....

so I yelled from the front row... "Make it go faster..."

he did... and when it reached

boopboopboopbeepboopbeepboop I yelled out at the top of my lungs...

"Welcome back my friends... to the show that never ends...."

Roger was PISSED. He cut the volume so fast it about sounded like he
yanked the cord out of the wall.

"I don't usually do impressions" he said...then slammed Keith Emerson
for
about five minutes... including a anecdote that Emerson wanted a
Theremin
made for himself that would shoot sparks as he played it. He allegedly
said
he didn't care if "hurt a little bit" as he played it.

(to give Roger some credit... I bet he must have heard about ten billion
times...
can you play "Lucky Man" ??? so I can sort of see his point. OTOH I was
expecting
some stuff of his....)

so bring on the Jacobs Ladder... we're ready !!! ;^P
