[sdiy] electronic component stores in NYC?

On Canal btwn broadway and lafayette there's a really weird electronics
store in the back of one of those places where they sell fake ouis vuitton
etc... I don't remeber the address but it has a small sign advertising VCR
repair and parts.  I've had some good luck there, especially with surplus.
