[sdiy] Power line question

Hello...

I recently got a few (gulp, embarassed silence)
doepfer modules to add to the modular chaos in my
studio... they require 12v lines... everything else I
own (or want, or look at) runs on +/- 15...  was
thinking about getting the blacet power supply (15
again) for my diy/modular rack...  question is, can I
just put together a little subboard with a + and a -
12volt regulator (was thinking of MC78112 and MC79112
from the mouser cat.) and pull my voltages from there?
