Hi,
I'm presently brainstorming on a project that would
involve 1 motherboard and several daughterboards
full of logic chips and exchanging data back & forth
through a common bus (16 bits).
When a certain control signal is high, the motherboard
would be allowed to read/write data to a memory buffer
on each daughterboard, and when that signal is low,
each daughterboard would have access to its own
memory buffer. The total amount of data to be
exchanged in 1 cycle wouldn't exceed 64 bytes.
So far I came up with data & addresses multiplexing
on each daughterboard, but have the feeling there must
be a simpler way to do that...
Any pointer to some schematics ?
Thanks,
JB
