Yup! Welcome :)

Yes, I have it too. I personally think it would be useful, as it takes a
more hands-on approach to how circuits behave, with plenty of diagrams to
illustrate each concept. Very much a student book, but also nice to dip
into to refresh the old grey cells!

One point worth keeping in mind are discount book shops/stores. I've
found many good books at less than half-price (my copy of the student
manual being one example). Usually its just a smudge on the cover or
something, which does not affect the quality of the information within.
Picked up a copy of Wakerly's "Digital Design: Principles and Practices"
3rd edition for £5 (about 8 USD) which includes a CDROM with Xilinx
design SW on it. Boy was I a happy bunny that day! For those interested:

Why was it so cheap? There was a scratch on the front cover. *swoon*

Hope this helps,
Neil
