[sdiy] Design Software..

I'm trying this program out myself, but I find it a bit frustrating. 3 of
the 4 ICs in the project I'm working on are not in the libraries, and I have
grovel through piles and piles of other parts in order to find the one I
need.
Is there any way to:
1. Create a list of "frequently used parts" so that I don't have to go
looking for things I use lot, like resistors?
2. Make a copy of a part in a library so I can create a new part in a new
library without having to draw the whole part from scratch?
No way to do either was immediately obvious... *grumble*
Thanks,
...Craig

Yup, the free version, Eagle Lite, is downloadable from their website:
http://www.cadsoft.de
The latest version seems to be 4.09r2, and is available for both Windows
and Linux.
Oh, and its free, so you don't need to search for a "cracked" version :)
You can pay $49 for a printed manual and stuff, but if you just want the
program, download it and run the installer.
Oh, the free version has some limits (one schematic sheet, two PCB layers,
size restriction to 100mm x 80mm) but is otherwise completely functional.
There are also two higher levels of package which you pays for, like
anything else. See their site for details.
Hope that helps,
Neil
