I second what old crow said, once you start using a desoldering pump, you
cant go back!!! Got a pace pump at work, a lot of the time if we need a
chip, we will just remove another chip out of a junked board!!!!

Or do what has been said, - cut thechip out, remove all the legs, then use
the solder sucker. Heat one side of the board with the iron, and suck from
the other side with the sucker..
