[sdiy] mis-soldered IC....

I've had better success with solder-wick... especially on dip and sip
packages. MANY years ago I was a repair tech, unsoldering a maybe
100 pin slide switch with a solder bulb.  The other tech laughed and then
turned me on to solder-wick desoldering braid.

I still keep the bulb and the plunger type. I have the old one that springs OUT

and will hit you in the eye if you are not careful... I "took it on the chin"
once...
now I'm very wary !!!
