Hi Everybody,
It is time for my first DIY synth project to make it's debut.
It is based on the EFM Single Board Modular, and three additional EFM
modules. I built the cabinate, drilled the panel, made the labels, Tom
Gamble designed the circuits (thanks Tom!!!) and the layout that I used for
the modules, although I altered a few things.
I have put up some pics and mp3s at the space that Aol gives members, but it
takes a few refreshes to fully load. it can get annoying, so i hope everyone
can get in without too much trouble

a note about the mp3's, I pretty much clipped every recording (oops!) but
what you hear is pretty much what I heard when I recorded it. the sounds are
all quite edgy anyway, but my recording technique could use a little work.
oh, and the stinger mp3 has a boss dr-550 beat being filtered by one of the
sbm's (that's just what I call the whole thing) multimode vcf's, the rest of
the clips are all sbm.
for those who have already seen the site, there are a few more mp3's up
there, more feedback stuff really, just chaotic modular stuff since this is
my first modular.
the specs are up at the website, but I'll answer any questions.
I love the sound of the oscillators, and they have an incredible range, well
into sub audio, very slow lfo rates and up into ultrasonic.
I dig the sync too.
I am just swimming in modular heaven, playing and learning.
it took me about 10 months to complete between other comittments,
and a whole lot of help from the EFM lists and especially Harry, who pretty
much taught me how to troubleshoot this thing and held my hand through my
numerous newbie errors.
thanks to everybody on SDIY, you all have educated and inspired me.
enjoy!
Eduardo
