Hi List,
I just bought a Korg Polysix on ebay for $207(US)... Cosmetically it's in
GREAT shape, and the previous owner removed the battery before it leaked
and caused trouble (Yea!). I've visited Old Crow's site and found
solutions to most of my repair questions.
The Polysix needs a new lithium battery installed and some key contacts
need cleaning (both of which are addressed on Old Crow's site). My only
questions involve the Program, Bank and other similar buttons... Some are
dirty and not very responsive (need a little wiggling to get them to work).
Can you clean these switches? Are there sources for new ones?
Also there's a few scratchy pots... are these still available anywhere?
I'd rather replace them than clean them if possible. I also plan to
replace all of the electrolytic caps... a quick little restoration, and
this is going to be a great synth...
Thanks for any advice you can offer. I haven't opened it up yet (can't
stop playing with it long enough to take it apart!!) I figure that $200
was a steal for this keyboard.. what do you guys think?
