Hi Jon:

Resonant filters (with enough feedback) usually
become sine wave oscillators.

They may be used as oscillators by themselves...

or can be interesting to feed other waves into
giving all kinds of oscillator sync and distorted
(like a ring modulator) sounds...

Turn the resonance all the way up on your synth...
if it oscillates then you can do it !
