[sdiy] Repairing a Simmons SDE

I have an SDE and when I got it someone had used their own screws to attach
the rack ears, problem was the screws they used went right through into the
sides of the PCB, grounding traces! It acted exactly the same as yours is
now and I didn't solve the mystery until I removed the ears (now I just use
shorter screws).
BTW, do you have a copy of the manual? I've been searching for one for 6
whole years.
