2206 and 8038 (038's older brother) share notorious
behaviour of high current consumption, chips even
get hot like power amp chips. You might need to
make separate supply for them, I guess they'll
interfere with precision ccts. They look tempting
but I guess classic VCO (like asm-1 vco in LFO
role at Bergfotron page) will be better in the longer
run.
Still those chips produce some nice sine waves...
038 has somewhat flakey TTL output IIRC...
