Just a word of advice:

Don't tell ignorant people that
you've worked on a piece of
non-vintage gear if you're selling
it to them! (heh)

I had a SansAmp PSA-1 that
malfunctioned, and to fix it I had
to open the top, pop out the
microprocessor, and put a new
one in. I replaced it with the
exact same part number, and
even glued a small container
with an extra one inside it for
down the road if the chip
blows again. SUPER easy
repair, like changing a battery.

Well, I sold the thing the other
day, and after I sold it I was like
"yeah, and there's an extra chip
in there in case it breaks in like
10 years...." Oh boy. Now the
guy is all pissed at me and thinks
his unit has been "modified"...

ARGH!!
